Nike on Tuesday unveiled the away kit that Manchester United will wear for the 2014-15 season, the final season in which Nike will be the club's uniform supplier.
Adidas announced last week it would take over as uniforms supplier in a 10-year deal commencing with the 2015-16 season. The Germany-based company reportedly paid close to $1.3 billion in the deal.
One news report said Nike lost interest in renewing its deal – the existing contract gave the Oregon sports footwear and apparel company the right to match any competitors' offer – because the company were frustrated in dealing with club officials.
Like the home kit that Nike released last week, club sponsor Chevrolet is prominently displayed in a 3-D logo on the away uniform.
When the black polo neck collar is open it also reveals a small black devil from the center of the club's crest. It has a red, white and black stripe on the underside revealed if it is flipped up in homage to legends from the club's past.
Inside the back of the neck is a small label with the message, "Youth, Courage, Greatness" to represent the club's values.
