What we want from our constitution?

Cairo Center for Development held a seminar titled ” What we want from our constitution?”. It has been held in February 12, 2012 in Fayoum Governorate in the framework of the political education program for youth parties, in cooperation with Open Society Institute, and it comes as one of the most important programs of the organization after the glorious revolution of January 25.

The whole audience have agreed that the demands of citizens from the Constitution is the full citizenship and non-discrimination in any of the areas of political, social and cultural rights on the basis of gender, and religion. Further, they demanded to provide free education for all children, male and female, and the dissemination of the different schools in all villages in Egypt, and the support of poor families, and the development of serious projects for literacy especially among women, and the development of health system to make health services available and primary health units, and the provision of comprehensive health insurance for the egyptian family. Further, the audience also asked about the criteria for the formation of the Constituent Assembly of the Constitution.
