$64,000 Raised for Hastings' Malarcyzk Family after Fatal Crash

A crowdfunding page on YouCaring.com established to benefit the surviving children of Ryszard and Anita Malarczyk has generated nearly $64,000 as of today, Jan. 4, 2016.

The page was set up late last week on behalf of Peter, Natalie and Monica Malarczyk of Hastings-on-Hudson, following a fatal crash in Killington, VT, that killed their parents and family friend Jaroslaw Karczewski.

Natalie is currently a student at Hastings High School, where both Monica and Peter graduated, reports The Journal News. The three suffered injuries in the crash.

“Peter and Natalie both sustained several injuries and are admitted. Monica was in worse shape and has undergone several surgeries to repair broken bones,” the Malarczyk YouCaring page, created by Stephanie Ngai, states. “The three of them are all working hard to rest and recover, and Peter and Natalie are hoping to remain in Burlington with Monica until they are all well enough to go home.

“Any donation to help cover hotels while the family is in Burlington, transportation, and other medical costs would be greatly appreciated. Thank you so much for your support and keeping the Malarczyks in your thoughts.”
