Will Fallout 4 Add New NPC Companions?

Bethesda Softworks’ Fallout 4 is seemingly heating up, with ZeniMax filing trademarks for Nuka Cola – the popular refreshment of the Fallout universe – and the previous casting call leak which revealed the game to be reportedly taking place in Boston. Until we hear an official confirmation though, we’ll keep discussing potential ideas for the game, which include what kind of NPC companions you should be able to pick up.

I like the idea of companions. A secondary voice that can add humour or something to a mission. The main character being silent can make things a bit dull.

The other thing I would like is a house or bandit den where all the companions can gather and can be defended against bandits, mutants and oversized bugs.

Starfield is actually a RPG. Bethesda hasn't done that in a while.

GhostScholar100d ago

People acted like starfield was so less interesting than fallout and drastically different, but I call bs on that. Both are decent games, but they are both filled with the appearance of things to do and items to interact with but 99 percent are just there to be there with no significance. Fallout has better character work but they are both sort of illusions that they’re vast.

Studio has been going downhill since Skyrim. Every following game gets dumbed down more than the previous. I'll be shocked if Elder Scrolls VI even has dialogue options.

Fallout 4 was bad, real bad. Starfield might even be a better RPG.

Fallout 4 wasn’t a great fallout game per se but real bad? I don’t know maybe I’m a little biased because I replied it not long ago and had fun with it.

Fallout London Cements Its Place as One of the Most Popular Mods of All Time With 1 Million Players

IGN : Fallout: London has passed the major milestone of one million players, cementing its place as one of the most successful video game mods of all time.

This and Enderal (Skyrim mod) really deserve official releases. The devs deserve compensation for what they've put out, and they should be available for console players. That or, at least, raise the ridiculously small storage limit they have for mods on console so they could actually get the mods.

SolidDietz164d ago

As much as I may agree with you, it would require the use of the script extender onto console which logistically would be rather difficult. I don’t want to say it’d never happen but it’s certainly a massive difficulty to overcome.

Inverno164d ago

What they should do is look into Kickstarting a full fledge game. Not saying it'll be easy but they have the talent and the understanding of what makes elder scrolls and fallout good to actually put out a legitimate contender against these series. Next year we're getting Skyblivion, and holy moly.

SimpleSlave164d ago

They do deserve compensation for sure. But the best way they'll get any is if they're willing to scrub everything Fallout IP related, port it and release it as a stand alone game in the same way Modern Storyteller did with their game The Forgotten City. Which was a Skyrim Mod.
