Mercedes' New AMG GT 911 Fighter Will Have This Nifty Hatchback

Mercedes has a new sports car in the works that's being called a "replacement" for our beloved tire-slaying Mercedes-Benz SLS AMG, but it's supposedly much closer to a Porsche 911 in price. And it gets a neat hatchback for all your stuff!

These spy shots of the car that will supposedly be called the AMG GT come to us from Swedish car magazine Vi Bilägare, and they show us a driver in Jönköping who's already making good use of that hatch.

No solid details have surfaced about this car yet, but at the moment it's believed to be packing a 4.0-liter twin-turbo V8 with more than 500 horsepower. GT Spirit, which has some nice renders of the possible car in full, report that it could sticker for around $100,000 — that's far less than the $300,000 SLS AMG Black Series Jason tested a while back.

Anyway, it looks interesting so far. More of this, please.
