R650 000 Gauteng funding programme entries close tomorrow

Entrepreneurs developing green technology solutions related to energy security, water management, waste and sanitation, sustainable mobility and food security are invited to enter The Innovation Hub’s fourth annual Gauteng Accelerator Programme (GAP) Green competition.

GAP Green is the third edition in a series of four GAP competitions which provides entrants with opportunities incubation services, and seed funding. The competition is run in collaboration with the South African Climate Innovation Centre, a World Bank clean tech incubator based at The Innovation Hub.

Four winners will be selected and will share R650 000 cash and seed funding prize. Entrants must have potential for broad social impact in Gauteng, through the creation of jobs, enhancing service delivery by government, or improving citizens’ lives. You may enter the same competition more than once with different entries, but you won’t be awarded more than one prize.

At the end of the fourth GAP competition, an overall awards ceremony will be held in November 2014.

Entries for the GAP Green competition close on 1st June at midnight and you can submit your entry on the GAP Green page.
