A group of federal lawmakers from the House of Representatives elected on the platform of All Progressives Congress (APC), on Monday said that the composition of the leadership of House committees shared equally between the party and the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) by Speaker Yakubu Dogora was a declaration of war against the presidency and the party.
The lawmakers operating under the aegis of “APC House Loyal Members”, stated that it was against the democratic principle to share committees equally with the opposition.
Briefing Journalists at the end of a closed door meeting with the members of the National Working Committee (NWC) of the party at the national secretariat in Abuja, spokesperson of the group, Hon. Musa Saraki Adar from Sokoto State said that Dogara was causing a division among the lawmakers, insisting that he must reverse the order.
Is dat how u ppl will continue fight till 4yrs runs out. U ppl should better put things together.
Politicians sometimes vomit trash which questions their level of intelligence & knowledge of d provisions of d law. Which part of d House rule book did Dogara break in d cause of constituting d House Committees? Dat should be d basis of objection not saying dat, “it is undemocratic to work with d opposition at par”. In my own informed opinion wot strengthens democracy is a healthy and vibrant opposition. U can muscle up d opposition and call dat democracy.

If the APC cannot work with the oppositions let them (The APC) leave the National Assembly. What kind of democracy is it that we are practicing? What the common man wants in this country is to feel the impact of democracy through good and affordable education and the basic necessities of life
