You Are Not Alone

You Are Not Alone

Coming together as college students in 2007, Kinetics & One Love dropped their debut full-length, Fading Back to Normal, two years later. Though the record wasn't a huge hit, it included the song "Airplanes," which was snatched up by a major label and reconfigured into B.o.B's smash single and later a remix featuring Eminem. Since then, Kinetics & One Love have toured the globe, racked up industry awards, and put out new projects including What Model Are You?, Cross-Fading Back to Normal, and With a Little Help from My Friends. On You Are Not Alone, they go the conceptual route, with highbrow lyricism reflecting on society's future. One Love's production is on-point throughout: a compelling mix of spacy effects, futuristic boom-bap, emo pianos, and pop-minded hooks, while Kinetic sounds off on heady subjects like suicide, genocide, depression, and the overabundance of prescription drugs. Don't miss "Still Dreamin"' with Termanology or "Sometimes I Feel Like a Robot."
