Steve-O is seemingly stoked about beginning his 30-day jail sentence. The Jackass star, 41, shared a video of himself doing a backflip before checking into Twin Towers Correctional Facility in Los Angeles on Wednesday, Dec. 9.
“Here we are at Twin Towers Correctional Facility. This is my reservation,” he tells the camera before jumping off the jail’s signage. “And I’m ready, let’s go!” “Here I am at jail. See ya when I see ya, folks! #yeahdude #SeaWorldSucks,” he captioned the video.
Steve-O, whose real name is Stephen Glover, was arrested this past August for climbing a 100-foot crane in Hollywood in protest of SeaWorld.
According to the Los Angeles Police Department, the daredevil climbed the crane and then attached an inflatable killer whale with the message “SeaWorld Sucks” on it before lighting firecrackers. He pleaded no contest to his misdemeanor charges, which included creating a false emergency, trespassing, and use of unregistered fireworks. In addition to jail time, he also received three years probation and was ordered to reimburse the city $14,000.
Steve-O first protested against SeaWorld after watching the 2013 documentary Blackfish, which documented the confinement and mistreatment of killer whales in theme parks, including SeaWorld.
