Like Banished, the RTS Meridian New World is developed by a single person. It's hard to believe what one programmer is capable of. PCGH shares their impressions with the early access version which comes out of Friday.
J Station X: For the Steam Winter Sale, German games publisher Headup Games has discounted almost every game they publish including In Between and Onikira: Demon Killer.

There are some sob stories around from indie developers breaking down the grinding halt a package deal produces. None of that is present for Ede Tarsoly, proprietor of Elder Games and maker of the highly ambitious Merdian: New World."
Leon from DJ Podcasts writes "At its core Meridian: New World is a very traditional RTS, although it has some notable exceptions to that traditional formula. Far from tweaks, it includes the command centre, for you to explore in between missions. As well as the ability to talk with your subordinates. In addition you have a number of abilities you unlock and use in the missions, from the ability to enhance your units, heal them, and even damage the enemy."
