Brightcove To Provide Online Video Services To France's Le Figaro

Boston-based Brightcove said that French newspaper Le Figaro will be using its Video Cloud online platform for a new mobile version of its online news channel Le Figaro TV.

"Since introducing video on the site two years ago, we grew our video traffic six-fold and have kept our audiences engaged, with more than 80 percent of viewers completing more than 50 percent of each video on Le Figaro TV," said Bertrand Gie, managing director of new media at Le Figaro, in a statement. "With Video Cloud, we're able to broaden the reach of our extensive library of on-demand video content, making it available on tablets and smartphones without compromising on quality or viewer experience."

Brightcove said that about 40% of Le Figaro's online video library is now available to mobile users. The website's entire library will be available by the end of the year.
