BMW has prepared a pair of conceptual surprises for the 85th edition of the Concorso d‘Eleganza spring event, which will be hosted at the Grand Hotel Villa d’Este on the shores of Lake Como in Italy, from May 23 to 25. Unfortunately, the only information shared by the Bavarians for now are that the two studies have been created by the group’s “automotive and motorcycle design experts” (the car pictured above is the 2008 M1 Homage Concept)

In recent years, BMW has revealed some interesting concepts models at the show, including the impressive M1 Homage, 328 Homage speedster, Gran Lusso Coupe, Ninety Sports Bike and the Z4 Zagato Coupe.

Being the host and main sponsor of the event, BMW stated that the two new studies will be “outside of the competition” for the concept trophies.

As with previous editions of the Concorso d‘Eleganza Villa d’Este, we expect some high-end carmakers to debut new editions, concepts and production cars at the event, which this year, will also pay tribute to the 110th anniversary of the Rolls-Royce brand and the “100 Years of Maserati”.

Until we learn more, feel free to feast your eyes on more than 200 HD photos from previous years of the show.
