Everyone knows games like “Arkanoid” or “Breakout” or has at least played a game similar to it. Games with one simple mechanic and one goal: destroy the blocks without losing your ball. Ironsun brings these games back with Ionball 2: Ionstorm. This game is a renewed version of the older arcade classics.
Ionball 2: Ionstorm is a modern-day take on the classic brick-breaking games of our past. Developed by Ironsun Studios, Ionball 2: Ionstorm has some pretty large shoes to fill if it plans on making a name for itself. Today Gamecrastinate takes a look at the final product to see how it stacks up to the classics.
Overall I have to say that there are some great signs of potential in this game, the difficulty level is high but if you are aware of this when you go in and are prepared to be patient and get used to the speed then you will enjoy it
Ionball 2: Ionstorm is a seriously fast paced game that can push the limits of even the most coordinated mouse gamer. It has a nice, experience based upgrade system that keeps things interesting and plenty of well designed levels to blow robots up in (with a bouncy ball, of course).
