What about Miss USA?

Looks like Fox is picking up NBC's sloppy seconds.

After NBC announced earlier this year that it was refusing to air the Miss Universe Pageant in the wake of Donald Trump's controversial comments about Mexican immigrants, Fox announced Wednesday that it will broadcast the event live on Sunday, Dec. 20.

Fox has also obtained the rights to air the Miss USA Pageant in 2016. This year's pageant aired on Reelz after NBC split with Trump.

"The Miss Universe and Miss USA pageants are iconic television events loved by generations of viewers around the world," Fox Entertainment President David Madden said in a statement. "We are very excited to partner with IMG and The Miss Universe Organization to infuse a fresh new energy into these perennial broadcast favorites."

More trouble for Trump: Panama drops out of Miss Universe Pageant

The Miss Universe Pageant will feature contestants from more than 80 countries and will be distributed in nearly 200 countries and territories.

The event has been broadcast on NBC for the past 12 years, but the network said in July that it was severing ties with Trump. (Arnold Schwarzenegger is replacing him as the host of Celebrity Apprentice.) WME and IMG subsequently acquired rights to the pageant from Trump.

The Miss Universe Pageant will be broadcast live on Sunday, Dec. 20 from Planet Hollywood in Las Vegas beginning at 7/6c. Will you watch?
