Amazon.com is considering a price increase in the U.S. to its Prime membership program. The current cost is $79 annually, which gets members free two-day shipping as well as streaming movies and TV shows.
The possible move came up during Amazon's earnings call Thursday. It would be the first change in the 9-year history of the program, and could increase pricing between $20 and $40.
