Carnival and community yard sale to benefit Myrtle Beach school

MYRTLE BEACH, SC (WMBF) - Myrtle Beach Intermediate School is organizing a community-wide event to raise money for education, with a yard sale and spring carnival.

The events will be held Saturday, April 26, at the school, located on Oak Street between 29th Avenue North and 39th Avenue North, according to a press release.

The carnival and community yard sale will last from 10:00 a.m. until 2:00 p.m.

Kid-friendly events, including a dunk tank and carnival games like balloon pop, closest to the bulls eye, and dime toss will be provided. Along with arcade prizes to be earned with tickets that can be redeemed.

A bubble-blowing contest will be featured with traditional carnival foods like funnel cakes, pizza, hot dogs, and pretzels.

Volunteers will also have desserts and goodies for a bake sale to raise money.

Vendors like Jamberry Nails, Simply Cute as a Button Bows & Tutus, Thirty-One, Origami Owl, Paparazzi Jewelry, and more will be present for adults, in addition to the yard sale.

All proceeds from vendor and yard sale space will benefit Myrtle Beach Intermediate, according to Data Quality Clerk Sherri Haynes-McCoy.

Vendor space is still available for a registration fee of $25.

Yard sale tables are also available for a small fee of $20 per table.
