Samsung is making its Galaxy S5 better with the introduction of the Galaxy S5 LTE-A. An improved version of the flagship device, it features an ultra-high resolution 5.1-inch QHD display (2560 x 1440 pixels, compared to the 1920 x 1080 original), a faster Qualcomm Snapdragon 805 processor, and LTE-A compatibility. LTE-A is an advanced form of LTE that offers improved download speeds — Samsung says the new S5 LTE-A can connect at up to 225Mbps.

The S5 LTE-A looks outwardly identical to the S5 we reviewed back in April. Its improved display matches LG's class-leading G3 in resolution, and surpasses it slightly in pixel density (576ppi versus the G3's 538ppi). Introduced in Korea today, It's unclear if Samsung is planning to release the device in the US, where LTE-A is still in testing.
