The CrossFit mom who sparked a media storm for lifting heavy weights two weeks before her due date is back in the gym – and says both she and her newborn are “doing great.”
Mom-of-three Lea-Ann Ellison, 35, became headline news last Sept. after she posted pictures of her heavily pregnant self working out online.
The snaps, showing her struggling to throw weights over her head due to her gigantic belly, caused quite a stir.
Many commenters said she was being “irresponsible” and “stupid” – and putting the safety of her unborn baby at risk in order to be a “hot mom.”
But, four months since giving birth to healthy boy Skyler – who arrived two and half weeks late on Nov. 7 – L.A.-based Ellison said they are both “doing great,” reports TMZ.
And she’s also revealed that, after getting back into her brutal fitness regime almost straight away, she currently weighs less than before she got pregnant.
“I hope to inspire other ladies to be healthy and fit while pregnant and after. If you don’t like it, sit your ass on a couch and eat a donut,” she wrote on her Facebook page.
