My dog Abbey is a beautiful large Weimaraner who enjoys outings at dog parks and beaches. Sadly, she also enjoys all manners of filth even more and completely disregards my feelings in the process. It's not uncommon for her to splash around in curbside street puddles or relieve a booty itch by dragging herself across muddy dirt. She is a very condescending pet who once told me she didn't care about bringing filth into our home because after all "isn't that what we have a maid for?" she said. I found her remark offensive and felt compelled to punish her. But she threatened to report me to authorities on false allegations of animal abuse if I dared put her in the "puppy cage" again.
She suffers from severe canine narcissism. Case in point -- she once ate a slice of cold pizza from a box lying over a heap of trash next to a dumpster -- and you know what, she didn't offer me so much as a single bite. And she knows I love sausage and cheese!!!
As you can see by now, personal hygiene doesn't rate high on Abbey's list of daily priorities either. And just like you, I'm very busy throughout the day and don't have time to always bathe my dog. And while I confess I don't like resorting to doggy deodorants like Four Paws Magic Coat, it's very nice to have around when I need it.
I'm very happy to report that this stuff works very well. Before applying it on my dog's coat, I sorta expected it to simply mask her doggy BO. But to my surprise, the aroma was very pleasant and fresh. It goes on dry almost instantly. My dog has sensitive skin and I was initially concerned that Magic Coat might cause her skin to become excessively dry, flaky, and itchy. I was very relieved that after a few applications, there were no noticeable side effects.
It's important to note that Magic Coat is not a substitute for bathing your dog. However, it's great to have on hand when needed. I also apply it on her coat after I bathe her. Magic Coat gives her a clean and fresh aroma for the rest of the day, which is a great relief. I enjoy it while I can because I understand that tomorrow she will likely come home wearing caked on mud and manure.
For the price and quality, this is an excellent product.
