Teenager Tayla Blue set up a fashion business with no previous experience because she couldn't find anything to wear, and now her label Hot!MeSS is a go-to brand for the stars.

The Leicester girl, 19, started her clothes line of unique neon leggings, high-waisted shorts and bold-print bralets after struggling to find any clothes she liked on the high street.

Just 10 months after she launched the online range the brand has already been snapped up by the likes of supermodel-of-the-moment Cara Delevingne, singers Pixie Lott and Alexandra Burke and girl band Little Mix.

"I can't believe how successful it's been," said Tayla. "It was amazing seeing Cara Delevingne in our clothes, I think that was the best moment so far because she's huge but Pixie Lott looked amazing in the brand as well."

Cara Delevingne was seen flaunting her lengthy pins in black and white Hot!MeSS Humbug leggings, £40, in New York, while singer Pixie Lott sported the brand's tight-fitting monochrome Bubblebutt dress, £40, which she personalised with a floral P, as she took to the stage in Manchester for Key 103's Jingleball Live.

Made In Chelsea star Phoebe-Lettice Thompson is also a big fan of the brand and Alexandra Burke instagrammed a selfie in a £10 Hot!MeSS beanie from the latest collection.

The young entrepreneur, who has always liked to personalise her clothes, first got the idea for the fashion label when she got bored of seeing the same things in all the shops.

"I hate wearing clothes that I know someone else could be wearing," said Tayla.

"I love shops like Topshop for basics but there was nothing unique out there," said the designer. "I think the way people dress really says something about who they are that's why we only make 30-50 of each item made so people can feel unique."

Tayla got her inspiration for the first retro collection of funky prints and neon bolds by raiding her 75-year-old grandmother's wardrobe.

"My nan is a massive hoarder and she was having a clear out and I found loads of really cool leggings and leotards," said Tayla. "Me and my friend Flo tried some things on, took some pictures and instagrammed them.

"Everyone loved them and started asking where we got the clothes were from, and the idea sprung from there," she added.

The teen then got to work designing the bold online collection and after just a few months her funky "nan inspired" brand became a go-to fashion label for young celebs.

Tayla is thrilled with her celebrity following, and is set to take America by storm but her next mission is to get her idol Rihanna wearing the brand.

"I love her, she has just got such great style and she would look amazing in the label," said Tayla. "We are actually going to start a campaign to try and get her in our clothes."

The young designer draws inspiration from everything around her and the latest collection, which she thinks is her best yet, comes from another unlikely source.

"I got the inspiration for the new collection from a David Attenborough documentary, it's all starfish prints and jellyfish," she said. "It's amazing and it's definitely the collection I'm most proud of."

"I think fashion says a lot about a person and the collection lets people make a statement," said the designer. "My fashion probably says 'I'm crazy'."
