yep I have 60 games I haven't even started to play at all on steam.

randomass1713664d ago

Steam sales... too many dang games to play! XD

FlyingFoxy3664d ago (Edited 3664d ago )

I usually play L4D2 and sometimes Killing Floor & Gmod, rarely other games.. but i'm glad i don't have tons of wasted ones like some people do and don't bother playing them.

Thankfully i mainly have games i like, bar for Dead Island which i consider a bit of a stinker.. and can't even remove it from my games list. Hell i liked DNF more than that.

HighResHero3664d ago (Edited 3664d ago )

Same. I have a few games on Steam and I've played all of them. Many(SP) games I won't buy full price either because of their DRM. Of course GOG is a different story.
I've been playing Counter Strike Source a lot but I'm thinking of giving GO a chance.

randomass1713664d ago

GO is pretty cool. New guns, new maps. If you like Counter-strike, you'll like that game.

DeadlyFire3663d ago (Edited 3663d ago )

Go is worth playing. The aiming is slightly different than CSS with a few other small differences. You play it for awhile and you go back to CSS then your aiming skills will be legendary on CSS.

Gun skins, stickers, and community built maps in DLC packs are also in CS:GO.

CS:GO competitive mode is pretty fun as well. Not always perfect with matchmaking, but that's why gamer's invented clans and gaming groups to play with anyway.

This seems to be the general opinion. Am I the only one that really liked Dead Island, I thought it was great for a new IP even after the disappointment of it not turning out like the original trailer.

I sometimes think that it was the fact the trailer was such a masterpiece is the reason why people slated the game.

HighResHero3664d ago

You aren't the only one. My friend likes it and I think it is slightly underrated. I think it is probably better than a lot of "overrated" games that often get praise. There are plenty of things to nitpick about in the game, but it is somewhat unique, so I can overlook many of them. Many of the complaints are probably about technical issues. I do remember the voice acting being really bad though but to me that is not the most important aspect of a game, and I would rather see less "interactive movies" anyway.

ATi_Elite3664d ago (Edited 3664d ago )

I just buy games because they are Super Cheap and rarely playing anything I buy.

I give a lot of games away to those in need so I dont care.

Now the really good stuff I play and keep!

randomass1713664d ago

Steam is fantastic for this. Seriously, I've gotten dozens of games when they were in packs on sale. Great stuff. They sold every Tomb Raider game, including the reboot, for around $15. Total steal.

MidnytRain3664d ago

How is this news? There's a page on the steam website that's constantly updated.

There's also this if you want something more detailed

sdozzo3664d ago

I think the percentage of games owned and not played is the bigger news.

Skate-AK3664d ago

Heard good things of Killing Floor.

randomass1713664d ago

It's a lot like an edgy British Left 4 Dead. Kill tons of spooky zombies while working with a team. Lots of fun when you have friends. :)

tee_bag2423664d ago

Killing Floor is awesome. I've sunk countless hours with my L4D co-opI buddies playing it.

solar3663d ago

Killing Floor is the best worst game ive ever played. my mates and i love it.

Steam’s Refund Policy Change Won’t Affect You Unless You’re A Lowlife

Steam is changing its refund policy, but you probably won’t be affected

Should have happened a long time ago. People wanting refunds after 50 hours in game.

fsfsxii12h ago

Pc gamers will take this as an excuse to pirate things

KyRo11h ago

I'm not sure why you're getting disgrees. Whilst not all PC gamers are petty, an awful lot of them are lol

Crows9011h ago

Entirely untrue. Not any more petty than console gamers. The only large difference is console gamers don't have much of a choice.

Michiel19892h ago

Not sure why you're getting agrees. an awful lot of console gamers are overemotional twinks ready to go to war over a plastic box, I'll take being a pc gamer then.

Speaking about overgeneralizing much.

qalpha12h ago

Daily reminder that 'TheGamer' is a corporate-generated, anti-gamer, anti-consumer, clickbait web site. They are mostly A.I. generated articles that villainize gamers. They provide nothing positive and actively try to provoke and divide the community through extreme view points and politics. Do not give them any clicks.

Inverno12h ago

Only scumbags? As if people don't play their games on console put in the most amount of hours and return it to GameStop and trade it in for another game. But also how many people are actually do this? And what games have been allowed to be refunded?

DustMan11h ago

You can refund any game you've purchased as long as it hasn't been longer than two weeks, and you've played less than 2 hours. I wish they would change it to 3 hours because some RPG's have so much exposition that you may only get an hour total of complete gameplay. That's my only knock on it. I've refunded plenty of stuff I was just curious to try. I typically stay away from Early Access titles which are the only ones affected by this policy change.

Inverno11h ago

Apparently early access doesn't count, only complete games with a play early preorder bonus.

Gaming4Life198111h ago

I definitely know if I want a refund in 2 hours.

SegaSaturn6693h ago

I never liked refunding anything. Even if a film is bad, i dont want my money back. Sometimes things just aren't for me, and it's not the creator's fault necessarily.

Why Are Steam's Recommendations Dogpoop?

Blindfolding myself and clicking a Steam page at random would serve me better recommendations than Steam’s algorithm

UltimateOwnage18d ago

Hmm, not sure I agree with that. The recommendations I get are usually pretty good, but then again I have pretty large library of games on Steam and hundreds of them in my wish list, along with lots of curators I follow for it to build recommendations off of. On occasion it will throw me a random FIFA game or something I've never bought or shown interest in, but mostly its decent IMO.

Skul is a metroidvania ? It’s on PS+ soon I’ll check it out. If it’s good I’ll buy a copy physically if they have one

Nacho_Z28d ago

If Pseudoregalia is one of the best I'd hate to see what the worst look like.
