More Severe Weather Possible: Hundreds Without Power

Outages are reported across Con Ed's service area in Westchester.

Depending on where you live in Westchester County, you’ve already experienced severe weather early this morning and it’s forecast to possibly stick around through the afternoon.

A violent thunderstorm rolled through Westchester County overnight leaving roughly 1,200 customers without power.

Con Ed promises restoration this morning, according to its Storm Center.

More storms are possible today. The National Weather Service says for Tarrytown and Sleepy Hollow there is a chance for more showers and a thunderstorm into the early afternoon and again in the evening.

“Morning clouds and a few left over showers will linger on Wednesday… but as we move thru the morning, a few breaks of sun will become possible,” writes Bill Potter of Hudson Valley Weather. “That trend continues into the afternoon.”

Some heavy winds and rains are possible during this time period.
