David Derrer, MD, is a medical reviewer for WebMD. He is responsible for reviewing WebMD articles to ensure their medical accuracy. He has many years of experience as a family physician, actively seeing patients of all ages within community health settings.
Derrer is the medical director of the Good Samaritan Health Center in Atlanta, the largest Christian charity clinic in Georgia. He leads the medical and dental teams as they see patients from all ethnic and economic backgrounds in order to provide excellent primary care.
Derrer received his medical degree from the University of Alabama School of Medicine and completed his residency in family medicine with Self Regional Healthcare in Greenwood, S.C. He is board certified in family medicine and is a diplomat of the American Academy of Family Physicians.
Derrer resides in Atlanta with his wife and five children.
