Executive Editor/Staff Writer of Zenescope Entertainment

Raven Gregory was born in Phoenix, Arizona in 1979, the youngest of three brothers.

Discovered in 2000 by then Vice President of Publishing at Top Cow Productions, Renae Geerlings, his first professionally published work was the critically acclaimed creator owned independent comic series, The Gift, in 2003. The hit series would later be published by Image Comics as the writers' popularity continued to grow.

Years later, the young writer would come to attention of Zenescope Editor in Chief and co-founder, Ralph Tedesco, who recruited the writer to the newly created position of Executive Editor and Staff Writer of Zenescope Entertainment. Gregory would go on to co-create and write the best selling Wonderland Trilogy series with fellow co-creators Joe Brusha (President/CCO), and Ralph Tedesco as well as numerous other Grimm Fairy Tales spin offs, Crossovers and Creator Owned titles.

The story is currently set to debut August 28th, 2013.

Upon the debut issue's release it will be the 200th published story by the writer.

Raven lives in Arizona with his four children, a Pitbull named Wacko, and a Chichuana named Zombie.

Following on from the original trilogy (Return to Wonderland, Beyond Wonderland, Escape From Wonderland), the crossover Dream Eater Saga vols.1 & 2, Wondereland Annual 2012 and Wonderland (ongoing) vols.1 & 2, the story of Calie and Violet continues as they try to escape the forces of Wonderland. Much of this volume had a different author (Patrick Shand rather than Raven Gregory). Calie and Violet's road trip continues, but we are are now introduced to Lory, who is working with the Queen of Spades to pull people from our world into Wondeerland, in order to build her card army. At the end of part 4 (issue 14), there is a link to the Madness of Wonderland GN, as the new Mad Hatter is introduced to the ongoing series. Enjoyable series, although Calie and Violet's road trip is growing a little old now. Pull them into Wonderland already!

I'm really into the Wonderland plot and am interested to see where the five queens go after this. I'm not so much into the Callie/Violet plot. They just run run run from one place to another, and that gets old. In this and the previous volume, they also did nothing about Wonderland, and were not even aware of it creeping into the real world, where as in the first volume they were highly aware and did fight it.
The art is still pretty good and the writing is as well. Hopefully now that they are at their destination, things will get better with their plot.

A candy read… little plot development

A nice candy read. Kept me entertained… learned a little more about some of the recently introduced characters, but pretty disappointed I’m through volume 3 and we still gotten our heroines back to Wonderland… where you know they have to go eventually.

Wonderland Volume 3 is good and advances the story, but it feels like a lot of set up for what's to come after this graphic novel is over. It's still likeable enough. It just feels less than complete. It's an ongoing series, so I guess that's the way things are sometimes.

The suit Queens back in Wonderland are trying to keep things stable and the Queen of Spades secretly starts gathering people from our world to fill in her army. She gathers a creepy serial killer among others (here's a tip: don't accept a water bottle from a stranger, even if it seems sealed). And that crazy Jabberwocky is still out there.

Meanwhile, in our world, Calie and Violet Lidle, descendants of Alice Lidle are looking for answers while they are on the run. The trip takes them to Calie's father and all kinds of weirdness ensues.

The story is good and fills in a lot of backstory as details are revealed. There is definitely a heightening in tension in Wonderland, and then it ends. The story by Raven Gregory and Pat Shand is good. The art is good and other than the covers, not too ridiculously overly anatomized. This remains my favorite in the Grimm Fairy Tales line and the only one I regularly seek out.

I was given a review copy of this graphic novel by Diamond Book Distributors and Netgalley in exchange for an honest review. Thank you for allowing me to review this graphic novel.

After reading Vol. 2 I did actually go out and get all the volumes to this series but you know how it is, sooo many other things to catch up on first. Fortunately, Vol. 3 picks up where 2 ends and I fell right in step this time (hey, no flying asterisks everywhere). The Queens have had enough and want the situation stablized, Spades does her tricky grabs on vulnerable people taking them back to wonderland, where she turns them into her beast army. Callie and Violet continue on the run, just barely missing capture by following their instincts. Until at the end they realize they just can't keep running from Wonderland forever which leaves only one other option. duh duh duh. Lots of bodacious babes, killing sprees and naughty scenes making these comics highly not for everyone's age or tastes.

After a disappointing second volume the story gets back on track with plenty of twists and turns. *Spoiler Alert Ahead* Here is a list of events that kept me turning the pages. Alice Liddle has a twin sister named Lory who is working for the Queen of Spades, but seems to have her own agenda. The Queen of Spades shadow creatures are humans from earth. Brandon is brought back to life in Wonderland as a monster again and what plans does the Mad Hatter have store for Callie and Violet? If it was not late and I was not so tired I would start reading volume 4 tonight, because I want to find out what happens next in this series!

The art in the first half of the book is solid. In the second half the art style changes and is not to my liking. It's not terrible, but I am not a fan. As a cool bonus Callie has her black hair again. I like it soooo much better than the grey blond hair.

the storyline isn't in any rush so i'm mildly curious about where it's going but hands down, the art quality definitely dropped in these issues. Callie went from silver to black hair again in the real world and looks like a teenager again. Consistency is what the different artists lack, and I mean just on these simple things like what hair color the protagonist has. would've been three stars but the art. hm. two.

Calie and Violet travel, visiting grandparents and trying to figure out a plan. Meanwhile, in Wonderland, Queens and other sorts are planning their next move. What will the White Rabbit lead Calie and Violet into in the next volume?

One of the infamous nul pointers. It appeals to a certain demographic and gives comics a bad name. Please sir, can I have half hour of my life back.

Beautifully created artworks, sadly I didn't understand much of what was going on. I tried this out because I really liked the Robyn Hood comics that I was able to read but this one didn't feel as compelling as Robyn Hood. I think I need to read some of the other issues to understand the storyline better.
