Photographer Creates Surreal Images To Promote Shelter Animals And Find Them New Homes

Published 10 years ago

Hungary-based artist Sarolta Bán uses her marvellous digital photo manipulation skills to promote shelter animals in need of new homes. In her “Help Dogs with Images” project, Bán introduces a different approach to these kind of campaigns – instead of showing them as victims, she turns them into interesting, admirable characters in a peculiar world of her own imagination.

Sadly, abandoned dogs have really few chances to appear on a photo that will help them get out of the shelter –  a photo that stands out from the crowd and ‘speaks’ to a person,” said Bán.

The artist published the photos on her Facebook, asking her 106,000 fans to share them and submit their own photos of sheltered animals. Future owners are promised to get a photo of their new friend as a gift.
