Respawn Comments On Having An Open Beta For Titanfall

Respawn Comments On Having An Open Beta For Titanfall.

AngelicIceDiamond4095d ago

Beta would be great. Imo if they did it a month before launch I can see pre-orders soar.

Now comes the negative.

I do believe this game will have launch issues. Like connectivity issues. Imo its inevitable. So even if they do server stressing I'm still imagining problems.

TheGreatGamer4095d ago

Even a closed beta would be great for people who pre-order if they want pre-orders to be high

NewMonday4095d ago

considering this is published by EA and judging based on BF4 the beta will start March 11

nukeitall4095d ago (Edited 4095d ago )

@newmonday:

With MS cloud (Azure), and the alpha, I think the game will launch to very little hickup.

Remember, this is the people behind CoD. The same people that released CoD4: Modern Warfare, which from my recollection was a surprise hit and didn't have much problems at all. Xbox Live almost never go down, and is updated on the fly. No taking down for maintenaince cr@p.

TI_214095d ago (Edited 4095d ago )

As of late all major MP games published by EA have had a beta pre-launch. So obviously Titanfall will have one as well.

NewMonday4095d ago

@nukeitall

this game depends a lot on the cloud, the guys at Respawn never did something like this, trouble is very likely.

Farmassy4095d ago

@newmonday. Why do you keep going into xbox articles just to talk down anything positive? its like it is your job or something. Are you trying to single handedly suck sony's collective dick? Keep fighting the good fight but it is a little pathetic.

NewMonday4095d ago

@Farmassy

seeing as this is multi-platform game you comment makes no sense, stop thinking everything is about XBox you give yourself to much credit.

NewSunday4094d ago

I sure hope so. All these alpha testers have me really jealous!

It's probably coming anyways IMO.

snake_eater4095d ago

I would like to remind everyone that EA is the publisher of this game.

Neixus4095d ago (Edited 4095d ago )

That means the release is when the open beta begins! We just have to pay for it..

pompombrum4095d ago

Reading your comment while looking at snake_eaters avatar gave me a good little chuckle lol

zerogotit4095d ago

Yet they already released an alpha. The beta is going to happen.

TheGreatGamer4095d ago

EA published BF4 and that had an open beta

Eonjay4095d ago

Sounds good. They have less than two months. They could use it as a pre order bonus as well like Destiny is doing.

Although the late 2000s Turok wasn't my favorite, I would love a new entry. Open world survival with shotguns and dinosaurs. Not sure how we'd get the fusion cannon, but that would be pretty sweet too.

MadLad940d ago

Lol

All of these games are pretty much universally praised. Outside of Timeshift I literally own all of these.

Venoxn4g940d ago (Edited 940d ago )

XIII, The Darkness 2, Far Cry: Blood Dragon, Timesplitters: future perfect, Bulletstorm are awesome games

gurp340d ago

I played them all, they are all good in their own way
I used to be obsessed with FPS games

An ode to Titanfall: The last twitch shooter I'll probably ever enjoy

Windows Central: "Titanfall 1 is being sunset, taken off storefronts by EA. While the servers remain live for now, one has to wonder just how much time it has left. I look back and pay tribute to the last "twitch"-styled shooter I ever truly loved."
