Police: Drunk PA Man in Disabled Car on I-87

The car had damage all down the driver's side, state police said.

New York State Police stopped on I-87 at 2 a.m. May 30 to render assistance to a disabled vehicle that had damage down the entire driver’s side and a blown tire.

They allege that the driver of the vehicle, Maximo Ramirez, 67, was intoxicated.

The Wernersville, PA resident was transported and processed at the state police barracks in Tarrytown where his blood alcohol content was determined to be 0.16 percent.

He was charged with:

  • Driving While Intoxicated, Unclassified Misdemeanor

Ramirez was turned over to a sober third party and released on an appearance ticket returnable to the Village of South Nyack Court on July 6.
