Sintana Energy has closed its previously announced acquisition of an initial 49% interest in Giraffe Energy Investments, pursuant to a definitive agreement dated effective April 24, 2024 with Crown Energy and Giraffe. Giraffe is the owner of a 33% interest in Petroleum Exploration License 79 ('PEL 79') which governs blocks 2815 and 2915 located inboard of blocks operated by BW Energy, Rhino Resources and Shell. -

Wintershall Dea and its partners Total Austral, subsidiary of TotalEnergies in Argentina (operator), and Pan American Energy have commenced development drilling at the Fénix field, around 60 kms off the coast of Tierra del Fuego. Fénix is the largest natural gas field under development offshore Argentina and the project is on track for first gas end of 2024. -

First data from the 2023 Norwegian Sea GeoStreamer X survey is now available and ready for viewing at the EAGE conference in Oslo. The survey, part of a multi-season campaign, was acquired by PGS summer 2023 and targets the Halten Terrace. The dataset augments 7,000 sq km of data acquired in 2022. -

TotalEnergies and Air Products have signed a 15-year agreement for the annual supply in Europe of 70,000 tons of green hydrogen starting in 2030. This first long-term deal follows TotalEnergies’ call for tenders for the supply of 500,000 tons per year of green hydrogen to decarbonize TotalEnergies’ European refineries. -
