A coffee shop AU with a twist.
Sherlock Series 4 came to television on Jan 1st 2017. This is set a few months after that, as a continuation. It’s an AU which stands for Alternate Universe; the change to the narrative is that Mary does not have a child and John is moving on with his life after her death. Moriarty is dead and no more. This is intended to be a happy ending after the tragedy of Series 4, and hopefully the books too (Thank you to the late Arthur Conan Doyle). I wish to do both these works justice - not to devalue what happened, but simply to re-contextualise.
It is important to note that Sherlock Holmes, in this particular work, is neurodivergent.
This is NOT a johnlock/mystrade fic.

I don't know how to write summaries, but I'll do my best to give you an idea of what this fic is about. It started with this idea: What would happen in the canon universe if Sherlock were a woman? What would change? What would stay the same?
This fic is the story of that idea put into words. Much of it is a dramatic retelling of A Scandal in Belgravia, with a couple of changes and additions. It is complete, and I will be posting the next chapter every week.

Sherlock is disappointed when the suicide crime scene is not part of series of suicides he's interested in, he's about to leave when he catches the scent off Omega John Watson and introduces himself. Later than same day they meet again, and Sherlock invites John to move in with him.
John is falling hard and fast, Sherlock doesn't understand his attraction to John, and outside forces are at work to separate them. It's when Sherlock comes back to life that John learns about the secrete life Sherlock hid from him. Now he has to ask himself, can he love this side of Sherlock? -

Mycroft Holmes is an important man. He is the British Government, when he's not busy being the British Secret Service or the CIA. He is a creature of habit with powerful friends and dangerous allies. He needs protection and somebody that is not afraid to get their hands dirty on his behalf.
Lucinda Blackwood has trained her whole life for this, literally. As a child she was kidnapped and trained to be an assassin but she's tired of working for the bad guys and ready to settled back into London life. A job interview with Mycroft Holmes gives her, not only a job, but a reason to live again.
This is a slow burn fic of Mycroft Holmes with an original female character that runs alongside the tv series - I will be using the show as cannon with only minor changes to accommodate the inclusion of a new character.
There will be love, heartbreak, fluff, maybe smut (I am undecided yet) and so much more....
