Guardians of the Galaxy” scribe Nicole Perlman and “Inside Out” writer Meg LeFauve will pen “Captain Marvel” for Marvel Studios, a source has confirmed.

The film still has not found a director or an actress to play the title character, though the studio has dated the film for November 2, 2018. Marvel confirmed the duo’s involvement on April 20.

Captain Marvel, aka Carol Danvers, was an air force pilot whose DNA was fused with that of an alien after an accident, giving her superhuman strength and even the ability to fly.

The film marks Marvel’s first female-driven superhero movie.

Perlman is also attached to pen the sequel to “Guardians to the Galaxy.” The pic will mark LeFauve’s first venture into the comicbook realm, having previously written “The Dangerous Lives of Altar Boys.”

Perlman is repped by CAA and Management 360, while LeFauve is repped by Verve.
