Young Women's League of New Canaan Hosts Couture for a Cause

The Young Women’s League of New Canaan (YWL) will hold its fourth annual spring fund-raising event, “Couture for a Cause,” on April 24th at 7pm at The Loading Dock in Stamford. This not-to-be-missed event includes appetizers, cocktails, dancing, auction and a fashion show of this spring’s trends.

Presented by Porsche of Fairfield and Kristin Thomas – Love Your Look , other top sponsors include Oxygen Fitness and Moffly Media. During the Porsche cocktail hour, five cars will be on display complementing guests’ sleek looks. The fashion show finale will feature looks by rising fashion designer Karolina Zmarlak.

Net proceeds from the event will be given to the local charities that the YWL has chosen as grant recipients supporting this year’s YWL annual theme “Strong Women Make Strong Communities.”

“The YWL is always trying to find new ways to raise funds for worthy causes while having fun at the same time,” Amy Fields, president of the YWL said. “Our Spring fundraiser, Couture for a Cause, is a fan favorite and really embodies our theme of empowering women.”

YWL members and other men and women from the community will model new looks featured by such New Canaan retailers as Caren Forbes & Co, Girlela, L’Armoire, Soleil Toile, Togs, Walin & Wolff and Family Britches.
Le Boudoir will assist with hair and makeup for the models.

Tickets are $125 person and available at the Young Women’s League of New Canaan website. VIP tickets for $250 per person will provide reserved front row seating and a gift bag.
