UnREAL: Shiri Appleby, Constance Zimmer recap season 1 in 30 seconds

Sort of. The pair accepted EW’s challenge to summarize Lifetime’s breakout drama — about the backstabbing producers behind a reality dating competition — in 30 seconds, but as Appleby points out, it’s been 16 months since they filmed, so they might be a bit rusty on the details. Even Zimmer found it easier not to use complete sentences when talking about the show’s complex structure and characters. “Women, feminism, beauty, destruction,” she says, listing themes they’ve tackled. “And to top it off, you end up liking us by the end.”
