Social Media Marketing Intern

The Marketing intern will be spending approximately 12-20 hours per week supporting the Social Media Beast Marketing Department. The intern will learn more about business development and will be able to apply these skills to future ventures. The intern will:

• Learn how to scope and execute Digital Marketing projects based on real-world requirements
• Assist with client-facing marketing projects and copywriting
• Become familiar with a marketing agency setting and operations
  

Unpaid but course credit available.

Responsibilities

• Research new marketing opportunities, like engaging with local organizations
• Help distribute our online content to a targeted audience
• Help monitor, split-test and optimize our advertising programs
• Perform outreach to find potential agency partners
• Create various marketing and sales materials
• Assist with database email marketing campaigns
• Help improve the agency’s in-house marketing processes and documentation
  
  

Skills

• Have a keen interest in marketing and business operations (marketing major preferred)
• Demonstrated familiarity with digital marketing concepts (e.g. content marketing, ppc, analytics)
• Experience with Microsoft Office and Google Docs
• Knowledge of social media platforms (Facebook, Twitter, Google+, LinkedIn, Pinterest, Instagram)
• Ability and desire to learn new business applications (i.e., Salesforce)
