But can you really save up to 80% off your favorite fragrances, skin care, makeup, cosmetics and beauty-related products while receiving fast shipping?

How Does Fred Milan Offer Discounts?

If you’ve been on the internet longer than an hour, then you know people don’t just give stuff away for free online. So why is Fred Milan giving stuff away at such a steep discount?

The FredMilan company explains that its discounts are available because they order products in large quantities which allows them to subsequently skip the would-be expensive middlemen in the sales process from manufacturer to consumer. These middlemen typically markup products by 20% to 80% and so Fred Milan eliminates all unnecessary distribution channels by giving you direct access to the most popular skin care, beauty and cosmetic brands. Depending on the kind of savings the Fred Milan network can get, they are able to pass these monthly membership savings directly to you.

In exchange for access to the 10,000+ products on FredMilan.com, you pay a small monthly membership fee of $17 which is very minimal considering how much most people spend on beauty-oriented creams, serums, gels and oils. Anyone can join the Fred Milan membership club and cancel at any time. However, the company reserves the right to “exclude members that exploit our concept”, according to the official website.

To start your Fred Milan membership, you pay a trial fee of $1 before being charged the full monthly membership rate.

How Much Money Can You Save?

Fred Milan advertises a number of products on its main sales page. At the time of reviewing, there were skin creams from Roberto Cavalli for 67% off and eye creams from Calvin Klein for 72% off both listed on the front page. Those are significant savings compared to manufacturer suggested retail pricing you would get at most department stores.

That Roberto Cavalli skin cream is called Nero Assoluto. It comes in a 150mL container from FredMilan.com at a price of $14.97, which Fred Milan claims is 67% off the normal retail price of $45. That $14.97 price also includes taxes.

A quick Google Search shows us that the exact same Nero Assoluto skin cream in the same size is available at a price of $68.15 from FeelUnique.com which is an even bigger discount than advertised.

Meanwhile, the Calvin Klein Free for Men Hair and Body Wash is priced at $8.47 (including taxes) on FredMilan.com, which is advertised as being 58% off the regular retail price of $20. Macy’s sells that cream for $24, while other websites listed it at around the same price as FredMilan.com. So some will be the same depending on where you are looking, but all in all, it is very fair to say Fred Milan's beauty product store is going to give you the best bang for your buck.

Ultimately, few of the Fred Milan products we found online were sold for their supposed “retail price” as listed on FredMilan.com. However, some were priced at a significant discount on FredMilan.com compared to other retail websites.

It’s a good idea to do a quick Google Search before you buy anything off of FredMilan.com, as some websites list cheaper prices on identical products – even without membership fees. However for time-consuming sake, what we found is that most products appear to be a genuinely good deal on FredMilan.com and is a great investment if you are a high volume beauty product buyer.

Signing up for FredMilan.com is easy. Just go to FredMilan.com/us/register. The company has an address search form: just search for your address, find it from the dropdown list, and you’re ready to sign up.

Your initial trial costs $1. You’ll need to enter a credit card to pay that fee.

FredMilan.com doesn’t explain how long the trial lasts, but do say the full membership cost per month is $17. They only claim that you’ll be charged the full monthly subscription price after your trial is over. Here’s what the terms and conditions state:

“Please be aware that upon the expiration of the free trial period the payment method provided by you may be charged the full membership amount and will continue to be charged until you cancel your membership.”

The company’s Switzerland corporate registration data explains that they provide “development, support and advice for information, communication, and marketing strategies for organizations and institutions at home and abroad as well as production and distribution of media products and investing in companies that pursue similar purposes.” That’s a whole lot of lingo that doesn’t really tell us anything about the company’s true purpose but does give us insight as to how they came to form a newer concept and theory of passing discounts onto customers.

In some places, the company also refers to itself as Fred Milan GmbH. GmbH, by the way, is just the acronym of the German word for Limited Liability Corporation (Gesellschaft mit beschränkter Haftung).
