Sejak era Reformasi, Pancasila jarang diutarakan dan disampaikan para pejabat dan tidak lagi menjadi wacana publik yang dibahas dan didiskusikan oleh berbagai kalangan masyarakat.

Fenomena ini besar kemungkinan dikarenakan pada masa lalu sebelum Reformasi terjadi penggunaan Pancasila secara berlebih-lebihan, bahkan menjadi alat legitimasi dan ditafsirkan sendiri oleh penguasa untuk kepentingan kekuasaan.

Anggota DPR-RI Bidang Pendidikan Drs HA Mujib Rohmat menyampaikan itu saat menjadi nara sumber Penyerapan Aspirasi Masyarakat dengan tema “Revitalisasi Pancasila dalam Kehidupan Berbangsa dan Bernegara di Era Globalisasi”, Kamis (29/10) di Program Pascasarjana (PPs) Universitas Negeri Semarang (Unnes) kampus Bendan Ngisor Semarang.

Dengan perkembangan tersebut maka terjadi perubahan ekstrim terhadap Pancasila dari satu kutub ke kutub lain diantaranya era Pancasila sangat berperan (era Presiden Soeharto) menjadi era Pancasila kurang berperan (era Reformasi).

Kondisi sekarang dimana Pancasila kurang berperan dalam kehidupan kebangsaan dan kenegaraan tentu sangat merugikan kepentingan bangsa dan negara yang membutuhkan panduan utama dalam penyelenggaraan negara dan pembangunan.

selain itu, juga membutuhkan saringan utama dari serbuan paham, sistem, ideologi, dan budaya asing melalui globalisasi, yang kesemuanya itu diperoleh dari Pancasila.

Peran yang besar dari Pancasila tersebut dikarenakan fungsi-fungsi Pancasila yang memang sangat strategis bahkan menjadi ‘jantung bangsa Indonesia’.

Prof Dr Maman Rachman MSc dosen Unnes yang juga sebagai nara sumber menyampaikan, slogan awal dekade Kemerdekaan Negara RI yakni National and character Building. Pancasila sebagai falsafah negara dan dasar negara merupakan acuan dasar bagi upaya pencerdasan kehidupan bangsa yang berkarakter.

Namun, dekade berikutnya Pancasila sebagai ideologi nasional dan acuan national and character building meredup. Karakter Pancasila kehilangan roh sejatinya apalagi ditunjang oleh arus teknologi dan informasi terbuka vulgar tanpa batas dan takterkendali.

Untuk itu, Pancasila sebagai Dasar Negara, Ideologi Nasional, dan Pandangan Hidup dapat membangun karakter bangsa menjadi kepedulian bangsa dengan cara dimulai dari diri sendiri, mulai sekarang, dari yang mudah dan sederhana serta diikuti komitmen yang konsisten.

Sebelumnya, kegiatan dibuka oleh Rektor Unnes Prof Dr Fathur Rokhman MHum. Direktur PPs Prof Dr Achmad Slamet melaporkan seminar ini diselenggarakan oleh Majelis Permusyawaratan Rakyat RI bekerjasama dengan Unnes diikuti 250 mahasiswa dari program Magister dan Doktor.
