Officers responded to the home with Milwaukee Area Domestic Animal Control crews and removed six snakes from the residence. It was unclear how many of the snakes were venomous.
Police said animal control officers returned to the home Wednesday morning and seized two alligators and a monitor lizard. A spider was also removed from the home, police said.
The man who suffered the venomous snake bite was released from the hospital Wednesday morning.
Animal control said it will care for the animals while police conduct an investigation.
Police said more than two dozen reptiles had previously been removed from the home by authorities in 2011 and 2014.
Investigators said the home's resident could face municipal fines for illegally keeping exotic pets.
