At the beginning of the month Microsoft introduced a new Xbox One update for preview members, and it included a number of welcome improvements; most notably the ability to buy Xbox 360 games from the digital store, and an expanded 16-person party chat option. Now those features are available to all Xbox One owners.

The update includes all of the same features as the one preview members have been enjoying since March 1st. In addition to the ability to purchase backwards compatible 360 games and the increased party chat limit (it was previously capped at 12 people), you can also now broadcast party chat audio when you’re streaming on the Xbox One Twitch app, as well as record gameplay clips of various length (previously you were restricted to a fixed 30 second limit). There are also a few new minor upgrades as part of the update. Among them, Microsoft says that it has improved the thumbstick precision of its fancy Elite Wireless controller. The update is rolling out to Xbox One owners today.
