Glamorgan celebrated victory in their opening pre-season match by defeating Gloucestershire by seven wickets in their one-day friendly at the SSE SWALEC on Good Friday.

Three wickets each from Ruaidhri Smith and David Lloyd saw Gloucestershire dismissed for a modest 131 in Cardiff as Miles Hammond top scored with 42.

Will Bragg orchestrated the run-chase with an unbeaten 45 while England Under-19 batsman Aneurin Donald struck a breezy 31, while James Kettleborough also chipped in with 22 after home captain Jacques Rudolph has been dismissed early.

Glamorgan return to pre-season action next Tuesday against Cardiff MCCU at the SSE SWALEC.
