A few months ago, I was in Austin, Texas for the NACTO 2015 Summit. Although I was quite consumed with responsibilities and also getting hit with a major tempest of epic proportions (6 inches of rain at airport), I was able to shoot enough video to put together a decent overview of some of what is going on bikewise in the city, including a look at their dazzling 3rd Street protected-by-curbs bikeway (both sides of street!).
Even more fortunate, near the end of 2015 the League of American Bicyclists (LAB) moved Austin to their 22nd Gold status bike city, making Austin the first city in Texas to claim the honor. So let Streetfilms take you on a tour of the bike lanes, greenways, floating bridges, and bike-friendliness of Austin.
