The way she says to her father in the crowd, "Dad... Tony Bennett" when he's presenting her the Grammy. When she finally meets with him and it's unglamorous and she says "I just don't want to be wasting your time", and he has to comfort her and calm her down, "I have nothing else to do today."
And then they wheel out her little body and the first voice is Tony Bennett's saying what a wonderfully original voice in music she was.

The best found-footage horror movie of the year, which also just so happens to be a fiercely perceptive documentary about a great artist laid low by enablers and a host of mental problems. there were these two people who kept on talking and my dad thought it was a guy so he threw a straw at them and the girl yelled ARE YOU FUCKING SERIOUS and my dad said yeah I am! And the entire theatre began to applaud and this was at a pretentious old art house theatre and I'm Still confused
One of if not the best documentary I saw of that year. I saw at the Uptown theater with my mom. It was my first time seeing it but her second. Despite the fact that it was her second time she cried, and I couldn't blame her. Heartbreaking but inspirational.
I thought it was a very interesting choice to skip showing interviews, and use nothing but archival footage over them. I wasn’t really sure what the reasoning for that was at first, until I realized this documentary is 100% dedicated to the story of Amy Winehouse. There are no tangents about other people. There’s hardly any people on screen besides her for a majority of the runtime. It’s as if Amy helped make the documentary herself, and a lot of that is perfected through the use of archival footage, making it seem as though she is answering interview questions for the documentary in real time.
This film is absolutely heart breaking, but I’m so glad it exists to show people how amazing Amy Winehouse really was. I certainly never knew.
