Julie Plec and Caroline Dries have landed work outside of The CW.

Fox has ordered a pilot from the The Vampire Diaries duo. Recon, a one-hour drama, will follow a rookie FBI agent who plants herself in a suspected terrorist family. Dries will write the pilot and executive produce alongside Plec and fellow TVD executive Kevin Williamson.

Plec has another show in the pipeline: Containment, inspired by the French series Cordon, will air at some point in the midseason on The CW.

Recon will be produced by Warner Bros. Television and Williamson’s Outerbanks Entertainment.

Fox added a second pilot Monday, from Underworld producer and Live Free or Die Hard director Len Wiseman. A.P.B., to be penned and executive-produced by David Slack (Person of Interest), centers on a tech billionaire who buys and tries to revolutionize a troubled police precinct after a loved one is killed.

Wiseman will direct and executive produce the pilot.

20th Century Fox Television will produce A.P.B.
