" Stevie Ray Latham is surely destined for stardom" - AmericanRoots UK

London based folk singer and BBC Young Folk Award nominee StevieRay Latham grew up in Devon singing self-penned folk songs. His writing has often been described as 'beyond his years' and has earned comparisons to the likes of Leonard Cohen, Bob Dylan, and more currently Jake Bugg.

UK Americana stalwart Peter Bruntnell recorded StevieRay singing in his basement one night and eleven of these tracks became his debut album 'Modern Attitudes' which is due to be released in March 2015.

He has won many new fans playing alongside the likes of Willard Grant Conspiracy, My Darling Clementine, Peter Bruntnell and Brother and Bones; at venues such as Green Note, Notting Hill Arts Club, Dingwalls, Green Door Store, The Louisiana as well as festivals such as Truck, Oceanfest, Boardmasters and Palmfest.

2014 saw him play at the Brighton premier of the acclaimed Cohen Brothers movie ‘Inside Llewyn Davis’ as well as other high profile slots with folk guitar legend Michael Chapman, Malcolm Holcombe and Ben Ottewell (Gomez).

The way he sings suggests a maturity beyond his years and the way he plays is nothing short of outstanding. If you're still wondering what he sounds like imagine Bob Dylan crossed with Leonard Cohen.
