Q. My daughter is in her mid-thirties and very unhappy about her marital situation because she is single with no boyfriend and her biological clock is ticking. She desperately wants to be married and have children and settle down.

She works for several agencies as a care worker for vulnerable adults but is mostly on the minimum wage using taxis and buses. She works weekends, nights (sleepovers) and bank holidays, as well as during the week. She lives in rented accommodation and devotes most of her spare time to charity.

She has had several episodes of mental illness involving being treated as an inpatient in hospital. During one of these the staff believed she was bipolar.

She is in a rut with her job, which
