Beijing start-up Zero Zero Robotics has launched the Hover Camera, a small foldable drone with its propellers enclosed in a rigid, lightweight carbon fiber chassis, making it completely safe to grab with your hands anytime. It also comes with the new “Follow me” feature, which “uses an Android phone or tablet as a virtual tether, allowing the drone to track you with the camera as you move.”

At only 238 grams (238g), the Hover Camera has two cameras: A 13-Megapixel camera for stills as well as 4K video and a 3-megapixel camera facing downwards. When folded, it is about the size of a VHS cassette tape, and an easily replaceable battery that can last around 8 minutes.

It runs on Qualcomm's Snapdragon Flight and has an exhaust system that uses the downward airflow to cool the chipset.

Although the drone is small, alas, it’s still loud. But you have to admit, for its size, this drone is quite packed. And the propeller safety design is simply brilliant.
