Later today, the first-ever unofficial live concert will take place in Minecraft, headlined by disco-dudes Lemaitre, the DJ pair Broiler, and dance-pop duo AlunaGeorge, Norway's The Local reports. It will actually be a real-time replication of a concert happening in Hamar, Norway at the city's annual tech festival The Gathering.

"There have been plenty of other music experiences in the Minecraft universe, but not like this," Gathering organizer Erik Heisholt told The Local. "This will be the world's first live Minecraft concert."

It's not an official event, but rather run by a team of "volunteer gamers" at The Gathering who will control avatars of the musicians inside Minecraft, according to Fact. They'll mimic the movements of the artists, effectively recreating the exact performance as it happens. Heisholt estimates capacity at the Minecraft concert will cap out at around 2,000 to 3,000 people, due to server constraints.

The concert will take place (in Hamar and in Minecraft) today, March 23rd, at 4PM ET.

Update, 4:26PM ET: Updated to clarify that the concert is not an official Minecraft event.
