Combat Patrol - Boer Wars

Last week during our regularly scheduled game night, Dave hosted a Boer Wars scenario using the newly released Combat Patrol rules - modified for the colonial period.

The scenario involved a patrol of British troops escorting some wagons and a Gatling gun.  Overall the game went pretty smoothly even though it was a playtest of Dave's modifications.  He'll be running it again at Cold Wars.  If you have the time, come by and play or just watch.

And on to the battle report - - kind of, sort of.....

In 1880 we took a little trip
Along with General Smit down the mighty Bronkhorstspruit
...
We took a little beef and we took some biscuit balls
And we caught the bloody British in the woods of the Transvaal
...
We fired our guns and the British kept a-comin'
...
There wasn't nigh as many as there was a while ago
...
We fired once more and they began to runnin'
...
On down the Bronkhorstspruit all the way to Natal.....

My apologies to Johnny Horton.....
