Inserting references in Word with EndNote
- 1. Citing a reference in Microsoft Word with EndNote Tavistock and Portman Library
- 3. When you arrive to a point where you want to cite a reference, click on the “EndNoteWeb” tab at the top of your screen.
- 4. If you haven’t done it before,Word is going to ask you to type in your EndNote login.
- 5. Click on “Insert Citations”.
- 6. Type a term in the search box. It will retrieve all references saved into your EndNote account containing that term.
- 7. If you need a bit of help remembering what you’re looking for, refer to your EndNote library in your browser.
- 9. Your citation gets inserted at the point of the text where your cursor was.
- 10. The full reference appears at the bottom of the document to create a reference list.
- 11. It’s up to you to give your bibliography a title and to insert a page break so that it won’t appear on the same page as your text.
- 12. And you’re done!
