The Knicks won’t renew guard Jimmer Fredette’s 10-day contract, sending him back to the NBA D-League, according to multiplereports.

Fredette played all of five minutes for the Knicks in his five-game stint, hitting the only shot he tried, a three-pointer, and four of five free throws he earned.

The 2011 first-round pick will return to the Westchester Knicks of the D-League, where he ranked fifth in the league with 21.8 points per game in 30 games, adding 4.8 assists and 4.6 rebounds. In February, he took home the D-League All-Star Game MVP for his record 35-point performance.

The team is reportedly considering guards Tony Wroten and Ty Lawson to fill the open roster spot left behind by Fredette.
