If you do a search for [festivus] in Google, you will see the famous Festivus pole along the left side of the search results. Yesterday was Festivus, the reason I am writing about it today is to prove that the pole is available literally all year round.

I first noticed this in 2013 when Google posted the Festivus pole way early. But it wasn't early, it was simply a year round Google easter egg. Try searching for Festivus in Google in 6 months from now, it will and should work - unless Google decides to drop it.

Even Google's Matt Cutts noticed it too when he mentioned it to me on December 13th, ten days before Festivus. He posted on Twitter, "darn tootin it does!" When I said that the pole is year round.

There are some posting that it is something new for just yesterday, including posts on Google+. So I am doing the airing of grievances and saying, stop it, it is a year round easter egg.
