Final Candidate for Tarrytown Schools Superintendent Chosen

A series of introductory meetings will be held by the board of education.

After a search that began in August, the Tarrytown Union Free School District announced the selection of a finalist candidate for the superintendent position.

Christopher Borsari, currently principal of Byram Hills High School in North Castle, has been chosen for the post.

A release posted on the district’s website said the board expects to take formal action on the appointment this month.

The board said the final step in the appointment process will be introductory meetings with community leaders and district stakeholders. There will then be an opportunity for participants to provide input.

Borsari received his master’s degree in education from Manhattanville College. He was previously principal of Sleepy Hollow Middle School, when the district separated it from the high school.

Borsari will begin the job July 1.
